Holistic Healing at Its Best
Here at Melbourne Road Health, we believe in holistic healing through remedial massage in Williamstown and other areas in Melbourne. By applying various massage therapy techniques, we hope to give our clients the best massage experience there is. The massage therapy approaches that are incorporated by the masseurs include Remedial Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Lymphatic Drainage, Sports Massage, Relaxation (Swedish) Massage, Myofascial Cupping, and Myofascial Dry Needling. Our therapists are also skilled in offering stretching and exercise advice.
Myotherapy (literally translated as “muscle therapy”), is applied using the preventative, corrective, and rehabilitative phases of therapy to restore and maintain the normal integrity of the soft tissue structures of the body (this includes the muscles, tendons, ligaments and fascia). The therapist uses a range of modalities for a particular problem, including aches, pains or discomfort at rest or on movement, as well as those with sports and occupational-induced injuries. This results in an increased range of motion and decreased tension around joints, restored muscle balance, improved posture, and reduced recovery time and soreness after exercise.
Common conditions that masseurs treat include: headaches, jaw (TMJ) problems, neck pain, shoulder, arm and elbow conditions, (including frozen shoulder, tennis and golfers’ elbow), upper and lower back conditions, as well as leg, knee and ankle pain. As our massage therapists are qualified and registered practitioners, clients are usually able to claim a rebate through their private health insurance on the spot.

She completed her Certificate (with Distinction) in a course of Applied Human Anatomy and Physiology for Holistic Bodyworkers. She moved to Western Australia and gained a Diploma in Remedial Massage at The Australian Institute of Holistic Medicine as well as further qualifications in natural therapies, which is something she really enjoyed and has a great interest in.
For the last 10 years, Heather has specialised in Remedial Massage but is also trained in Sports Massage, Pregnancy massage, Trigger Point Therapy, Lymphatic Drainage, Reflexology, Acupressure Points, Reiki. She uses natural massage balms, made from pure essential oils from New Zealand, this helps to reduce the oily feeling left on the skin, this plus oils in a steam diffuser complete an aromatherapy effect. Heather believes treating the clients in a holistic way is important in order to leave the body and mind balanced in the treatment.
